Tomorrow

Time—how many dimensions are there in time? When we think of time how do we think of it? Hours in a day? Hours in our job? How long it takes to bake a cake, do a project? Time, a twenty-four hour commodity yesterday, today, and tomorrow, except...

We all have heard 'tomorrow never comes' and it's a catchy cliche because when we say we'll do that thing tomorrow, we plan on doing it—tomorrow. Unless we don't plan on doing it at all, or we plan on doing it when a hot place freezes over.

It runs in my mind that I've left out part of the saying. The saying should be, 'There's no time like the present to do what you need to do because tomorrow never comes'.

We know that there isn't enough time in today to do all the things we need to do in a lifetime so we make lists. Along with lists should come the idea of priorities. And priorities are strange birds. They should be things that are the important items we need to do.

Priorities often times get pushed around by the things that shout at us. It's a priority to get right with God and prepare for eternity, a priority to spend time with our family, time to do good works, etc. but many times our jobs or outside interests take away our time.

As it is said, life is short, eternity is long. (Song Acapeldridge)

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Romans 12:1-2 KJV)
