Name That Work

When it’s your work, the moment you commit to it and own the outcome...

that changes how you see the work and the outcome.

We all have a work in life. We may not know what it is, but we build it day by day. I wonder that as we reach the end of our lives if we'll have built well. Most of us don't see what we are working at building.

We see our daily work as in 'what do you do for a living?' When our daily work is less tangible. A life lived for encouraging the good in others, for example, what does it look like?

It looks like taking the time to do the right thing instead of taking the easy way. Modern culture doesn't allow much wiggle room because most everyone has to make it somewhere at a certain time.

So, we take shortcuts, but if the shortcuts worked as promised, they wouldn’t be shortcuts, would they? They’d be the standard. Perhaps it's time to start reversing behavior. To start prioritizing what is important not what is immediate.

Perhaps to live and to love, and to do our best is what it's all about. Not to be rich, famous, or fabulous, but to care for those we are given to care for, show the face of our Heavenly Father, and teach others that Jesus loves me...and them.

"But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein." (Mark 10:14-15 KJV)
