Any Day Now
Point of view. A writing term and much more. —I have been writing since grade school.
I'm not sure what I thought I had to tell people from my vast amount of knowledge when I was in third and fourth grade, but I started a memoir back then.
Not that some of my childhood happenings weren't learn-worthy. I was told just yesterday by a Grandfuzzy, 'Don't try walking up the stairs backwards, Grandma.'
He apparently was on a mission to learn things—firsthand—that you shouldn't do. Maybe my memoir would come in handy...he could study that and see if things had changed in the last forty years.
We are relieved that this last week is behind us. Old Fuzzy is recovering from his stem cell procedure, and at this point it has been so much better than the surgery he had eleven years ago.
I was somewhat reprimanded a few years back by our old doctor because he said, "You're always looking for something different."
That isn't true. I'm looking for something better. Better than surgeries that invade the body and leave a person feeling like they've been cut up for fish bait.
Some answers are new technology, like our stem cell procedure at Regenexx. We are an hour from Des Moines, and that made early morning difficult for us.
While we were there one of the others who came in was from Wisconsin and another was from Michigan. Both individuals made major efforts to be there.
We have been blessed, and count our blessings in many ways. Old Fuzzy has been up and around and is doing well, even though he is hindered somewhat by his arm being in a brace to keep him from over-extending it and injuring it again. And that's another story.
