Well, There You Have It
The look on the doctor's face was priceless.
Unlike me, Old Fuzzy is a very good roller skater. For a couple of birthdays this March the party was a roller skating party.
I was sitting it out, because even in a good year and on a good day I couldn't skate my way out of...anything. Not me.
But Old Fuzzy, he was out there with our adult kids and the grand-kids rolling away. Until someone fell, and in avoiding the little person, he fell as well.
Adorable agreed with the doctor. She was a bit incredulous as I told her. She said, 'Who thought strapping eight wheels on their feet (at our age) was a good idea?'
I will just say, Old Fuzzy had a bit of a shoulder problem BEFORE the fall. Now, this week he's supposed to have a procedure done that takes the stem cells from his hip and injects it into his shoulder to heal sixty-six years of wear and tear.
We told our GP about the upcoming happening to heal the shoulder. He asked if Old Fuzzy had injured his shoulder, and I told the doctor, "Yeah, he was roller skating at the birthday party.
That's when the doctor's mouth fell open—not quite down to his navel...
Through the years we've had that affect on people, and I've not understood why.
But when it happens it's always funny, funny, funny. However, I'm thinking we need to take up golfing instead of skating. Even we couldn't mess that up?
Psalms 34:11 "Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 12) What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? 13) Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. 14) Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it."
