A very real problem I have is 'tunnel' vision. The type that only sees what is immediately in front of me, or the very faraway light at the end of the tunnel.

Like the funny monkey meme that says: When they ask me where do you see yourself in five years? And I'm like, "Dude, I'm just trying to make it till Friday." That's me—just trying to make it till Friday.

But that's Satan's snare. Keep people struggling with the day to day drama and distractions so they never see where they're going.

This life is a juggling act. We live in the present, and we live in the future. It is necessary to keep a plan for a future that may not come, with a strategy that at any given moment can be validated or just as easily wiped out.

In other words, you set goals, and develop your master plan, and then develop two other plans (A, B,and a C) just in case...

Pray and commit your goals to the Lord. Leave it in His hands and let Him work it out. It is so much better to leave the running of God's world in His hands. Even the prophets of old didn't run the world, they only told what God revealed to them.

1 Samuel 9:8 "And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have here at hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way. 9) (Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)"
