Storms Pass By
We have been dodging more than rain drops this week.
Last week a tornado blew through our area about six miles north of us. They found the part of the wreckage from a home on the interstate.
Following the debris back to its source, authorities found the remains of a home. Further searching they found the older couple, the wife was dead and the husband they flew to the hospital.
This week we've not had a tornado, but we've had wind enough to take down trees and move buildings.
The interstate highway was closed down for close to twenty miles due to the wind blowing semis over—four I think it was—and other accidents.
Not to mention we've had lightening, thunder, and enough rain people are talking about a crazy man building a huge boat...
We are supposed to receive seven inches of rain this week. We may not have reached that amount yet, but it has to be close.
Yesterday when Old Fuzzy got to the school to drive bus it hailed so that hail covered the ground about an inch thick.
In our area we cover most of this by saying: We've had weather...
That sums up our month of May. I'm not sure what we'll be looking forward to for June. Many farmers don't have their crops in. That's good and bad.
Prices go up when it looks like crops are in danger. When crops are in danger there aren't as many crops so the money isn't there anyway.
This is Spring Time in the middle of nowhere.
Matthew 13:17 "For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not. 18) Hear then ye the parable of the sower. 19) When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the evil one, and snatcheth away that which hath been sown in his heart. This is he that was sown by the way side...22) And he that was sown among the thorns, this is he that heareth the word; and the care of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful."
