Overcoming Fear
Some people fear old age, some people fear dying. There is the fear of commitment, the fear of no commitment, the fear of the unknown.
Life can be viewed in two different ways. In one way it can be a set of trials and risks, stretching like the ocean for eons of unknown miles.
Or life can be an adventure, a set of curiosities unfolding like a game of Candy land all the way to the horizon.
Fear drives many things in our lives. It doesn't always appear as fear, but when you shuck it down to the cob that's what it is.
We have been given an instruction manual. Yet, some people say, "Life is a test— It is only a test. If it had been an actual life, you would have received further instructions on where to go and what to do. Remember this life is only a test."

If we would read the instruction book (Bible) we would receive the further instructions for life and the test. However, people live in denial. They go on and suffer for it. Here is some advice I've stumbled upon. I don't know this man's history, but these things are good to keep in mind. I would also say it could be son, daughter etc.:
“My Dear Son, I am so very proud of you. Now, as you embark on a new journey, I'd like to share this one piece of advice. Always, always remember that - adversity is not a detour. It is part of the path. You will encounter obstacles. You will make mistakes. Be grateful for both. Your obstacles and mistakes will be your greatest teachers. And the only way to not make mistakes in this life is to do nothing, which is the biggest mistake of all. Your challenges, if you let them, will become your greatest allies. Mountains can crush or raise you, depending on which side of the mountain you choose to stand on. All history bears out that the great, those who have changed the world, have all suffered great challenges. And, more times than not it's precisely those challenges that, in God's time, lead to triumph. Abhor victimhood. Denounce entitlement. Neither are gifts, rather cages to damn the soul. Everyone who has walked this earth is a victim of injustice. Everyone. Most of all, do not be too quick to denounce your sufferings. The difficult road you are called to walk may, in fact be your only path to success.” ― Richard Paul Evans, A Winter Dream
Proverbs 22:3 "A prudent man seeth the evil, and hideth himself; But the simple pass on, and suffer for it." Proverbs 27:11 "My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, That I may answer him that reproacheth me. Pro 12) A prudent man seeth the evil, and hideth himself; But the simple pass on, and suffer for it."
