I don't always have success, and most days it takes much perseverance to achieve success.
This is a photo of a young walnut tree several years ago after an ice storm. As I've written before, the ice when the sunlight highlights the scene is breathtakingly beautiful.
However, when the trees are weighed down with several layers of ice it causes much duress, and some trees crack and lose limbs. This was an upright tree until the ice bowed it as it appears here.
We received approximately six inches of snow yesterday. This morning was a scheduled out day so it wasn't a surprise, but, we were always excited about these days out .
My grandparents' farm occupied a spot along a ridge south of a small town overlooking the valley. Certain years, because of where we lived we had more snow days than than the rest of the school. There was only one road that was questionably possible when ice and snow occurred, to climb for access to our world.
Our world in those days was more family centered. Families were still a hub in society. Have you noticed the subtle dissolving of those lines? The blurring of our priorities? Where mom, dad, grandpa, grandma—family have become less important, replaced by school and peers?
This isn't good, and it isn't happening by happenstance. Keep this in your mind as you go throughout the coming days. For praying people, I would admonish you to find a prayer for the returning of God and family to our society.
It isn't a deep state plot, it has been in the mind of 'progressives' for perhaps a hundred years, slowly, quietly taking place. The erosion of God first, and the family second from our country. It is real. It is more than a threat.
Truth is not what you
want it to be; it is what it is,
And you must bend to its power
Or live a lie.

I've always liked this scene from Lord of the Rings. Let us keep these thoughts and principles in mind day by day.
John 18:36 "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37) Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end have I been born, and to this end am I come into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. 38) Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find no crime in him.
