I'm A Winner

I am so excited. I don't often 'win' anything. Well, I won a Christmas ham back when I was fourteen.

That didn't really count because you had to be present at the Santa Parade that Saturday before Christmas and I wasn't. So I was the first name drawn, but only heard about it later.

Or as some in the family call it, I was the first loser.

In this case, however I won the prize. As a writer I do research. Some of which has probably put me on some radar or other.

Some has taken me other places I just quietly backed out of...as in I shouldn't have been there. But I also try to frequent and help other author websites and authors.

That is a bit difficult at times because I don't have time to read everything I'd like to. I was somewhat naive' at the beginning of my 'christian' writing journey. I believed that christian writing was 'clean' with christian content.

I have since learned this is not always so. There are those who want to write 'real' to show people coming out of and into. Out of sin and into Christianity, that is. I don't have a problem with that except I would like a heads up on the get go.

Since I live in the real world I don't want to read real. I want something that encourages me to overcome and to live as I should. If I want sex and foul language I can visit Facebook. That's often more real than I want.

Back to my win. I visited a fellow author's website to read a guest article by Kat Anderson. Here's the link to the guest article: http://www.pattishene.com/theover50writer/597-WELCOME-AUTHOR-KATT-ANDERSON

There was a encouragement to leave a comment and the possibility to win a book...I would smile here.

The book title is 'Callie's Mountain' and even though it's supposed to be a historical romance, I'm sure it's 'clean'. Some days a happily ever after isn't a bad thing.

And here's a link to 'Cat Anderson's' Mantlerock publishing's page:

I would like to include pictures and a description, but I'm technically deficient. (I would not smile here.) So the best way to use this is to copy and paste into the search bar.

Ephesians 6:10 "Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. 11) Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12) For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places
