Random Thoughts on a Friday Evening
Sunrise and Sunset are still some of my favorite times of the day.
The beauty that surrounds me is astounding and it's free for the seeing.
God is still the most amazing artist. I have some of the most marvelous children.
Today is almost gone. It will never come again.
Old Fuzzy and I went shopping yesterday. I have been in denial about using the scooters that some stores have for people who can't walk all over the store. But yesterday I succumbed and used my first one.
Old Fuzzy said I was like the little old lady from Pasadena, zipping along so that he had to run to keep up. I'm saying he exaggerated just a wee bit. Shocked face here.
However, it does take getting used to for regulating the speed, and it can do a rather fast turn. Well, not that I would do such a thing...
I'll just end that segment with, I have always been rather fond of bumper cars. Kind of reminded me of bumper cars. Smile here.
I was only good for one store and became too tired for another one. Old Fuzzy was in a hurry to get through what he needed to get through. He had to get back to drive bus, so it was just as well that I didn't go in, and he went by himself to the other two stores.
After he got back from driving bus we had a short respite and it was off to one of our budding musician's band concert.
I don't believe we've had a saxophone player before.
My grandmother played the French Horn, my sister played the piano. My kids played violin or piano.
My cousins played a variety of different instruments, but not a sax. This is our young man's first year, so we'll see how it goes.
This week has been busy for two Old Fuzzies. A Christmas Program on Monday, deer hunting all week, shopping and a band concert on Thursday, whew, time for a sit down.
We had old fashioned oatmeal for breakfast this morning, pigs in blankets, pork and beans, and cinnamon rolls for lunch, and I think we'll have to fast for supper.
Matthew 1:21 "And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.
22) Now all this is come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, 23) Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is, being interpreted, God with us. 24) And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took unto him his wife; 25) and knew her not till she had brought forth a son: and he called his name JESUS.
