Humor
Jeremiah 15:10 "Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me."
I have set a goal to read through the Bible every year, both the Old and New Testaments. Some people look at the scriptures as old cut and dried something somethings from somewhere and not worth their time.
I find so much wisdom and humor to entertain and enlighten me. There are hard lessons, whether we view the stories throughout the Bible as just stories, or Gospel Truths.
There are lessons for relationships between humans and God as well as from person to person. When people are going through trying times it is often wit and humor that eases the burdens and helps them through what would otherwise be an unbearable situation.
Psalms 50:14 "Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: 15) And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me."
