Where We Have Gone

Words matter. Communication matters. Lots of things add into our lives and they matter. While watching a 'man on the street' attempting to interview college students on a subject, this person is impressed. I'm impressed at how informed these people are for one thing. Not.

When asked about the scheduled speaker of that evening, and their views on that speaker, they gave opinions of his hate speech, and he was against women, and...things they had heard about the speaker.

When pressed for examples these students said, 'well, I can't think/don't know any specific examples'. So, they didn't have any direct information. This was all an 'I heard' repetition from other sources.

There were a few who were informed, but they had come to listen to the speaker, not just chant and be hateful.

This goes with yesterday's post in a way. These college students were just regurgitating what they have been taught. It is a reflection of their intolerance. One of the young men who was there to listen to the speaker had at one time been the an uninformed student, but someone got him hooked on listening to (Ben Shapiro)the speaker's videos.

Students aren't taught how to think individual or logical thoughts. They just feel and have emotion. When asked for a reason behind what they believe they get upset. Of course they get upset, they know in the back of their mind they don't have a reason other than someone told them what to believe.

So, it could be phrased, Where We Have Gone, or Where Have We Gone, or Where Are We Going?

Psalms 115:4 "Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men's hands. 5) They have mouths, but they speak not; Eyes have they, but they see not; 6) They have ears, but they hear not; Noses have they, but they smell not; 7) They have hands, but they handle not; Feet have they, but they walk not; Neither speak they through their throat. 8) They that make them shall be like unto them; Yea, every one that trusteth in them.
