Walking Through the Door
Doors can symbolize different things. An open door can represent opportunity; a closed door can mean a missed opportunity, or maybe not your opportunity.
Revelation 3:8
"I
know thy works (behold, I have set before thee a door opened, which none can shut), that thou hast a little power, and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name."
Most of us have heard the axiom of opportunity knocking at your door.
I've always liked the picture representation of Jesus standing and knocking at the door. That is a representation of His patience and the extension of salvation personally to everyone.
Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."
Going through an open door can be an exciting journey or a frightening one. When we go out our front door we usually have a destination in mind. When we're coming in an unfamiliar door not so much.
There can be more than one reason for that hesitancy, but keep in mind prayer and trust are two important elements to take with you no matter where you go. I've heard many times, 'If the Lord opens a door, walk through it.'
Revelation 3:21 "He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit down with me in my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father in his throne. 22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches."
