Rooting for the Team
"Rooting for your team to fail is as bad as it sounds."
Once again I've found something entertaining in another blog, and even though I'm not planning on plagiarizing the whole piece, I did think I'd share that one tidbit with you.
I've said before some people are their own worst enemies, and in a roundabout way that quote, though not related to this thought in the exact way it is made, is related through the backdoor.
Some people set themselves up to fail then they will tell others—I just knew this would happen, but as the author points out in the rest of his paragraph:
"Even if you said early and often that this path was a stupid one, that this destination makes no sense–... if you decided to play the game–then once the journey starts, your job is to get us there, safe and sound."
~Seth Godin~
This makes sense. Once committed to a task give it your all. Don't sit and wait for it to fail. If you're in the game, well then, play the game.
Philippians 1:20 "according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death. 21) For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
