You Find What You're Looking For

That's what they say. That is generally true for me, but I don't always find it when I'm looking for it.

Although, what they are talking about and what I'm talking about may be separated by time and space.

There is an unwritten law like 'Murphey's law' in my life. The law must run something like: 'this person will never find what she's looking for without looking for it many hours, with much frustration (the amount of which can be determined by the amount of need for the object, but not always). Usually when object is found it will be sitting in plain sight and often where the search began.'

What they are talking about is with your life or fellow earth traveler (person), what you are looking for if it is goodness, honesty, kindness, virtue, lying, hatred...etc. Whatever you're looking for is what you will find. If you want to pick another person to pieces you can find good or bad.

Many analogies break down, you can only carry them so far. I tend to take people at face value, and there are a few scoundrels in the world. So, I do have my own set of Amos moments. I explain 'Amos Moments' in another post, but I don't remember which one. Basically moments when you feel like you've been run over by an unexpected force.

For years I've heard the refrain, 'count your blessings, not your troubles'. Of course that's true, but I also know that sometimes all the good advice people give doesn't help make a person feel better when they aren't up to snuff. All of the little cliche's are just that when a person is depressed, or when they are going through tough times.

Psalms 139:1 "For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2) Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising; Thou understandest my thought afar off. 3) Thou searchest out my path and my lying down, And art acquainted with all my ways."
