Another Thought
Had to take a few days off. The mountain of clutter in my living room is beginning to ferment, or foment—I do think it's in rebellion. It definitely needs arrested and dramatically reduced.
So, I've been trying to get through that the first time. I figure I'll work through it two, maybe three times. By the last time through I'll be burning what's not wanted, and a lot won't be wanted by the time I've seen it that many times.
It's hard to believe some places are still wanting rain. We've had at least 1/3 of our yearly precipitation in the last two months, and it's only the beginning of September.
I've read my 'Seth's blog' today, and here are three gleanings from his longer blog:
"Being first takes guts. Being fast takes training. And being correct takes care."
Here's his link if you're interested in his full thoughts:

I'm thinking that these three admonitions are good food for thoughts for this first Tuesday in September.
I've decided being first is sometimes in certain situations good, but not always. In the past I was pretty fast at a lot of things. One day when my Buddy was just a babe of maybe a year and a half he was determined to go out the front door. There were four or five cement steps up to the landing at the entrance, and I told him no. He didn't want to take no for an answer and continued his quest to escape. I stopped my conversation, looked at him, and in 'that tone of voice' said, "I don't move as fast as I used to, but would you like to see how fast I can still move?" At that point my Buddy decided there was a toy box and toys he would prefer to investigate. Being fast can be good, but being correct, now that's a horse of a different color.
Galatians 1:3 "Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, 4) who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father: 5) to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen."
