Here and There, Time Traveling

I am sooo envious. After reading a comment by a fellow (actually female) writer about her trip to Italy I've turned avocado green. I'm sighing as images float through my mind.

My oldest grandson and his lovely Italian girlfriend are officially an old married couple of about one month now. Living abroad of course has its ups and downs just like living unabroad.

The picture hangs in my mind that my (oldest) granddaughter posted of 'breakfast on the balcony' one morning in Paris as she flew over to be at her brother's wedding. Croissants. Croissants and fancy coffee. Not a MacDonald croissant, but a real buttery, cold dough, made from...I digress. I also absolutely love homemade real croissants with apricot jam.

I'm hopeful that those who are blessed to be able to live the life they are living appreciate that ability. Most young people would like to be able to store those memories...most old people would like to be able to look back on those memories. God meant for life to be enjoyed, not a burden to be suffered through. Life is an adventure, no matter if we can vacation in exotic places, or if our vacation destination is our back yard.

However, it depends on our outlook as to whether we are on an adventure, or if we are simply suffering through our lives. Wake up each day with the idea it's going to be a great day. I believe that's still called Bonne journee.
