More On Passion

Life isn't easy, but it isn't impossible. I remember as a young child things were difficult in my life. At some point, when I was 7 or maybe 8 years old, I mentally stopped and thought, 'this is painful'. From that point on I studied why it was painful, and what would change things. It was amazing that as a young child I came to that point, but children aren't stupid, even if they can't always put their thoughts into words.

We live in not just a fallen world but a hurting world. Most everyone has a wound. Having gone through a painful growing up life, I am deeply touched by the suffering of others. Knowing that there is a better way, I question, how best to help others heal? Families are the foundation of our society. Dysfunctional families chip away at the foundation. Hurting and abandoned children become hurting fathers and mothers who hurt their children. Even those who learn from the lessons their parents teach them still struggle to find the right path.

In the words of a meme 'The Battle is Real'. A hurting life is not normal, it only becomes normal because it's the only life many people know. Consider what the scriptures tell us:

Ephesians 5:14 "Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee. 15) Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise; 16) redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17) Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18) And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;"
