Ugly Pots

Most usually my post starts with a picture. Either because of me, or in spite of me. Last week I had my poor beleaguered photographer take pictures, but as in the story of the man telling the story of he and his wife on their way to some function or other and he said, "My wife and I had words on our ride here, but I didn't get to use mine." I didn't get my pictures that we took last week used.

And true to my wonderful abilities I got two for the price of one. The post here is about my 'ugly pots', but I ended up with the pots picture, and the pieced quilt picture. The quilt picture would apply to either last post or next post when I get more info on the quilt. Sigh. Some days. Anywho, with my brown pots I spray painted them green as you can see, and the water disks silver. Now, keep in mind this is an experiment, and—

So, I had in mind great designs for the pots, but that didn't come to fruition...these are definitely different, and I didn't care for the silver on the trays, so they are now green as well. Also true to form since these didn't come out as well as planned, I went in search of new ideas and actual designs for the next pots. Since I started out with 18 pots I guess you could say I'm just warming up.

I've been reading several articles lately that God is a God of the second chance. As in my case with the pots I have more than one chance here to get it right. However, in all logistics eventually I will run out of pots and we will all run out of time for second chances. I am so thankful that even though I was going to be the president of our local procrastinator's club, obedience to God was one place I didn't procrastinate. I obeyed the Lord Jesus Christ fifty-one years ago, and put on the mantle of salvation. Time goes by like a breath, days evaporate like rubbing alcohol in a flame. When we are standing on the other side of eternity's shore it's too late to change our destiny. Make the right choice now. Choose God. Choose Jesus.
