From Here

It began as three to six inches of snow predicted, then it became six to eight. By morning we will probably have one to two.

Weather, mostly we have to wait to see what happens, or as someone has written, "I'd respect the weatherman more if they'd just say, your guess is as good as mine".

I have found out the squirrels were (almost) maliciously maligned. It was the birds birding that took the bird feeder down.

Since we don't fill the bird feeder during the summer months we have wee little wrens who, for the last three summers have taken to raising their babies in the feeder. No other bird can get underneath the bottom of the house and the tray for the feed.

After the summer residents leave the feeder must be taken down and the wren nest and leavings cleaned out.

So, perhaps we'll get the winter cleaning and filling done for the birds who are left.

Today I'm thankful for the warmth of our house, the ability to pay our bills, and our family and friends. All of which are blessings from God.

"Wisdom is good with an inheritance: and by it there is profit to them that see the sun. For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?" (Ecclesiastes 7:11-13 KJV)
