The Hardest Part...

The pen of a ready writer—having something to say isn't the hardest part, usually—of writing. The hard part is having a title that sums it up and excites the reader to read.

And as I think on that tidbit, other thoughts crowd into my mind. Thoughts such as, speaking isn't the problem, learning when to listen is. Or, listening to the things that people say is important, but so is listening to what they leave unsaid.

There are a lot of loud people in the world. We have heard the analogy that the 'squeaky wheel gets the grease', and people understand that only too well.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30 KJV)

"My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer." (Psalms 45:1 KJV)
